Are we... free?

This image came up after I was watching the news here in Brazil on the beginning of last week. The news was about the "mysterious" explosion of a helicopter which a candidate to the presidency was in; he was in the third place, I guess, and rising on the rank really fast. I'm not supposing anything, but, come on, things are really strange. They didn't find the black box of the helicopter, and they are now saying that this specific super-mordern-brand-new helicopter didn't have one... how come? The helicopter simply recorded some of the audio between the pilot and the central aviation moments before the takeoff.
I was talking to my mother and she said that this "mysterious death case" had already happened years ago with another candidate and they still didn't say anything about how that happened or who did that; she also believe that this new case is going to be the same: they won't say anything that really explain what happened.
This conversation between my mother and I made me think, how far will someone go to have power? Once again, I'm not saying someone did it, but I also can't think the other way around, I can't believe it was something "natural".
Now, here comes the part that really explain this drawing.
I asked to my mom: "What if we demand explanation? This can't happen again..."
and she said: "Do you really think they will tell? Do you really think they will go against the government?"
And the answer is, "No, I don't think so". But this also makes me think "WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?"
We can't judge for ourselves, we can't ask for explanations, we can't protest for this or that (for something that apparently "go against government", because, if we do that, we'll be beaten, threatened, arrested or even killed), we are being manipulated all the time and this really upsets me. This is SO wrong!

Well, this is what I wanted to say. I couldn't keep my mouth shut.
